Exhibitions

July 3 - September 11: ''Art From Artefacts'' Herne Bay Museum, William Street, Herne Bay.

Inspired by objects from museum collections and using a variety of art forms, members of the CT6 contemporary art group explore the significance of Herne Bay and its place in the wider world.

Free entry. Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, and Sundays in July and August, 1pm to 4pm

Created by the CT6 contemporary art group as part of the A History of the World project in partnership with the BBC and the British Museum

SUMMER EXHIBITION AT THE BAY ART GALLERY - ON NOW!!!!!!!

Aug 30th - Sep 5th: Summer Exhibition (above), Bay Gallery, Herne Bay. Opening times: 10 - 4 pm. Admission FREE. 10% off any paintings for Bay/Whit card holders.

A private viewing will be held at the gallery on Monday August 30th from 7pm. Please contact me if you'd like to attend. All welcome!

Throughout August and part of September: ''Summer Breeze'' Exhibition at the Chimeara Gallery, Tontine Street, Folkestone. I have put in three canvas pieces in this summer show celebrating all things Summer!

September 13 - 19. Affordable Art Show

I and other members of the CT6 Contemporary Art Group are putting work in with the Canterbury Camera Club at the Bay Art Gallery, Herne Bay. All work will be A4 sized, and affordable!

October 16 and 17; 23 and 24; 30 and Nov 1 - Open Studios. Bay Art Gallery, Herne Bay. More info to come soon.

November: dates t.b.c.

Series of four workshops at the Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable. Part of the 'Discover Art' series of workshops held there. For more details and information on these workshops, telephone 07590 569050. More information nearer the time!

Painting Of The Month

This month has started to feel considerably autumnal! This was a painting I did at a demonstration for a local art group last year. The colours and tones are made up with very earthy and rich colours typifying autumn and the changing light.

A Night In London!

On May 7th I staged a private view of my collection of work at the exhibition at Cloisters in Temple, London. It was a great success. A huge thanks to everyone who came along and showed their support, it was a great evening. Many travelled from far afield, so my heartfelt thanks to them especially.

It was very interesting to hear everyone's opinions of my work and how each and every one had different favourite pieces. I very much enjoyed discussing my work and practice to those who asked!

I would also like to thank everyone who helped with the evening, I could not have done it without your help.

Overall this was an evening which celebrated where I am with my work and business right now and how far I have come through hard work, support from friends and family and utter stubborn self belief!

The exhibition is now finished, but part of the collection will be displayed at my next summer exhibition at the Bay Gallery, Herne Bay from August 30th.

I am a Kent based artist offering many services from original paintings both produced on paper and canvas, children's illustrations, cartoons, murals and other wall based media work, landscapes and portraiture.

I am currently being asked to produce many commissioned pieces, most of which are for presents. Please check my online gallery for ready made work - or if you'd like something customised for a present for a loved one, please contact me!

The pet portrait service is up and running, so if you'd like a commissioned piece for a unique gift or perhaps you want to treat yourself- please contact me. Some examples of this work are on the Onlie Shop/Gallery page.

I have produced illustrative work for KTP Publishing, a Kent based company. I have already had two pieces of artwork used for book covers and illustrations for a children's book. There are plans for further illustrative work for 2010 and hopefully a follow up to Smutty Putterhouse!
